WEEE Policy

What is WEEE?

WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. WEEE is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in Europe. WEEE and batteries may contain hazardous substances which, if exposed, could have a seriously detrimental effect on the environment and human health. To help customers identify Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment, a crossed-out wheelie bin logo will be displayed on the product. These products should not be disposed of with household waste or sent to landfill sites. Where used, a black bar indicates that the equipment has been placed on the market after 13th August 2005.

What are the WEEE Regulations?

Producers and distributors are liable to pay for take-back, treatment and recycling of end-of-life electrical equipment. This is to reduce the number of such items being sent to landfill sites.

What is Atlantic Therapeutics Ltd. doing to meet the WEEE Regulations?

Atlantic Therapeutics Ltd. is committed to reducing the environmental impact of WEEE and provides a take-back scheme. When you purchase a new product, you may return your old product to us for environmentally friendly disposal. We can only do this if the new product is for like-for-like or “equivalent” as the old one. If you purchase a new transcutaneous electrical stimulator, we will take back your old one. Please return old products within 28 days of purchasing your new one too:
